Responsibilities

• Propose, plan, and implement a strategy for disaster recovery.
• Propose, plan, and implement a strategy to monitor existing cloud infrastructures.
• Propose, plan, and implement a strategy to instrument existing and future application code

Requirements

• As part of your application, please attach a document detailing a project you’ve worked on where you have planned and implemented the monitoring system for a distributed application in Kubernetes. Please spare no details & and include diagrams, sample code snippets, problems faced, and trade-offs made. The goal of this document is to see if you are a suitable candidate to lead the architecture and implementation of the monitoring solution for our distributed system.
• Built solutions to monitor cloud infrastructure such as SQS, and Lambdas in an easy to view dashboard
• Knowledge of with OpenTelemetry
• Experience with Prometheus, Graphana, Jaeger
• AWS Certified DevOps Engineer - Professional Certification
• Certified Kubernetes Administrator - Certification
• Self-managed, proactive work style, able to ask questions to clarify understanding of the problem
